As a new non-profit association, we have a lot of planning and networking to do! We'll spend our time continually identifying community leaders, educators, coaches, etc. who are interested in partnering with our services. Though we are based out of the Boise and Meridian areas, we want to make sure all of Idaho's underserved children have access to our services!

If you or someone you know is interested in helping us accomplish our goals please email foundation@eyesidaho.org

    Moving Forward

    The FAYR Initiative

    The FAYR Initiative

    The FAYR Initiative

The Funding Athletics for Young Refugees (FAYR) Initiative is our plan to raise the funds necessary to offset the costs associated with athletics (registration, equipment, etc..) for those young refugees who wish to partake in sports. As our first official project, the FAYR initiative perfectly embodies our aspirations to achieve Equity in Youth Education and Sports.

    Book Drives

    The FAYR Initiative

    The FAYR Initiative

Do you have unused children's books (K-5 appropriate) you'd like to donate? We'll be collecting books in the months leading up to the new school year and will donate them to local school libraries! Please email foundation@eyesidaho.org for further details.

    Clothing Drives

    The FAYR Initiative

    Clothing Drives

In the future, we plan on collecting new and gently used clothing for both back-to-school times and for winter months. Items such as shirts, shoes, jackets, pants, hats, gloves, etc.. will be gratefully accepted.

    Sports Camps

    Sports Camps

Do you have or know a child who wants to attend a sports camp but can't afford it? We want to help! Reach out to us and we will do what we can to offset costs.

Adequate nutrition fuels active learning! We want to host semi-annual food drives for non-perishable items that can be delivered to food-insecure households throughout the schoolyear.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at foundation@eyesidaho.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Every dollar donated to the Idaho EYES Project will be used to provide underprivileged students with the resources necessary to ensure their academic and athletic success. This includes but is not limited to: school supplies, back-to-school clothing, team athletic gear/equipment, sports registration/traveling fees, and more. Additionally, funds may be allocated to teachers and schools who need help purchasing things like classroom supplies, new technology, and new P.E. equipment.

Our aim is to utilize our funds to ensure the equitable allocation of resources. This means that donations will be used to purchase materials for students in underserved communities as well as for schools with higher-than-average populations of low-income students.

We are an unincorporated non-profit association (UNA). While this means we are not a 501(c)3 organization, it does not prevent us from using our donations to benefit our community. As such, no member, volunteer, or cofounder of the Idaho EYES Project will receive compensation or profits from the association itself. You can learn more about UNAs here.

At this time, donations to The Idaho EYES Project are not tax-deductible. This may change in the future, however, and we encourage you to continue to check back for any updates regarding this. Learn more here.

Since we are a small non-profit association that relies primarily on grassroots community donations, we want to make the most of our funds and ensure that their impacts benefit those who need them most. Our founders and members will work closely with school administrators, teachers, coaches, and community leaders to get a clearer picture of those who fit that description.

The short answer is yes! As our outreach efforts grow, we will likely have an abundance of opportunities for individuals who wish to volunteer with us. Activities may include but not be limited to: collecting and storing donated items before delivery, delivery of donated items, and physical networking (handing out flyers, setting up donation jars, etc...).

*Letters of recognition for volunteer work may be provided upon request.
